What ever happened to Herbert W. Armstrong?
And what ever happened to the important message
he preached and the Church that was built as a
result? It’s time now for everyone to know.
This book explains it all!

Reviving God’s Church and Work

In his final Pentecost sermon (1985, click to play it), Mr. Armstrong warned the WCG membership that, “we weren’t getting it.” “So much Protestantism had rubbed off”—as he put it—we were behaving as if our own salvation was the only reason God called us now. Of course, he knew and taught otherwise. He taught that we were called out of this world to “support God’s Work” (Mt. 24:14) — and to also develop the character needed to become teachers in God’s Kingdom.

But then in early 1986 he died, the 7th Church era came fully online and things only went further downhill from there. With Mr. Armstrong out of the picture, our failure to “get it” was quickly manipulated by counterfeit ministers into a total rout. In short order Nicolaitan doctrines were rolled out, Mr. Armstrong’s building method was scrapped and commission-killing division became the new ab-normal in the Church (II Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 2:14, 20).

So how does all of this get fixed? How do we overcome Laodiceanism and get back to the place where we could still “qualify” to sit in positions of rulership for the rest of eternity? (Mt. 25:6; Rev. 5:10; 20:4, 6).

Well, that kind of change won’t get started—individually or collectively—until we are willing to admit to our greatest shortcoming of all. Frankly speaking, we have to repent of our disobedience toward God in refusing to carry on with building God’s house after Mr. Armstrong’s death (Mt. 16:18).

In other words, if we still want to enter into the God Family at the “Wife level” (Rev. 19:7), we are going to have to acknowledge what our Laodiceanism has been telling God for the last 40+ years … that He didn’t need any more kings, priests or teachers for His soon coming Kingdom.

Indeed, if we still want to be “God’s people,” we have to quickly awaken to the realization that there are prophesied consequences for indifference and defiance of this magnitude. Why else would Revelation 3:15-21 be in the Bible if there wasn’t a serious Church era flaw that had to be corrected?

Why else would God express a willingness to “spew us out of His mouth” if He was perfectly fine with lukewarmness as a Family character trait? (v. 16).

Enter Zechariah and The Signet!

Zechariah and The Signet is that “knock” that Jesus Christ said He would hammer home right before His second coming — “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and am sat down with My Father on His throne”  (Rev. 3:20-21; NKJV).

This book is also that “midnight cry” that was prophesied to ring out right before His return — “Behold, the Bridegroom comes; go you out to meet Him” (Mt. 25:6).

So what is God after?

Simply this: It’s time to realize—especially after 40+ years of spiritual slumber—that any remaining lukewarmness in our character is never going to be tolerated as acceptable behavior in the God Family. In other words, we have to become doers of the God Family “business” once again (Luke 2:49) — we have to get back to building God’s house as Jesus Christ commands (Mt. 16:18; Rev. 10:11). That will be the only way we can actually finish what Mr. Armstrong started while also making ourselves ready to marry Christ at His return (Zech. 4:9; Rev. 19:7).

Zechariah and The Signet not only explains the who, what and why of the 7th Church era, it also explains what needs to happen from now on if we are going to reunite, get back on track, speak the same thing, finish the Work and make ourselves ready for that Wife-level position in God’s soon coming Kingdom! (I Cor. 1:10; Rev. 3:20-21; 10:11; 19:7; 20:4, 6).

Bottom line: The need to revive God’s Church and Work makes this a must read book for ALL! It’s FREE for the asking. Just click on the button below to download your copy of Zechariah and The Signet today!

And he said unto me, you must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. (Rev. 10:11)

What we believe

… and why we do what we do …

The Signet Church of God believes, teaches and practices everything that was restored to the Church during the Philadelphia Church era by God’s “end-time Elijah,” Herbert W. Armstrong (Mt. 17:10-11; Rev 3:7-13). And by “everything,” we mean doctrinally, administratively and as far as how to perform God’s Work! In the footer below you can click on the link to our Statement of Beliefs (better known as “Our corner on the Market”), where we list the 18 biblical truths that were restored to God’s Church during his 57-year ministry.

We also believe that Christ will “marry” His one true Church at His return. This is why we have developed a game plan for reuniting God’s people and reviving His Work (Mt. 16:18; Rev. 10:11) — so we can recover from the divisive dysfunction of the Laodicean era and be ready in time for our “marriage to the Lamb!” (Mt. 25:6; Rev. 19:7).

An overview of our plan to revive the Church and Work:

  • Release Zechariah and The Signet

To jumpstart this effort our new book explains what went wrong in the Church and Work after Herbert Armstrong died. It also explains what has to happen from now on as far as reuniting and reviving the Church — so that God’s house can be finished in time! (Zech. 4:9).

  • Reuniting the Church

As the Apostle Paul made clear, “there should be no schism in the body” (I Cor. 12:25). The Apostle John also added that when Christ returns He is going to marry His one and only faithful Wife (Rev. 19:7). Consequently, it stands to reason that all those who are “spiritually wise” will awaken once they hear this “cry” and strive to become a part of this effort to reunite God’s Church and revive it’s Work — especially since the countdown to Christ’s return has now been formally activated (Rev. 10:6).

  • Reviving the Church

This is where God’s primary purpose for calling us out of this world has to resonate in our thinking once again. If we are going to marry Christ at His return, we have to realize that He was—and still is—very serious about His Father’s business (Luke 2:49; John 4:34; 6:38). It seems only logical, therefore, to believe that He would expect His potential Wife to feel the same way. Sadly, however, this has not been the case for the last 40+ years — which fully explains why the language used in Revelation 3:15-17 is so corrective and why the behavioral modification God urges in verses 18-21 has to be implemented ASAP in the lives of all those who still hope to enter the God Family at the Wife level (I Thess. 4:17; Rev. 19:7; 20:4, 6).

This is precisely why Zechariah and The Signet talks so much about “the time of no more delay” and reengaging in our Father’s Family “business” post-haste (Eph. 5:17; Rev. 10:6)!

  • Reviving the Work

Christ told Peter that He was going to build His Church (Mt. 16:18). As we explain throughout Zechariah and The Signet, that was not a suggestion. Christ was training Peter—and ALL those Church era leaders who would follow—that Christ’s gospel message was designed to capture the attention of those who the God Family could then draw, convert, train and integrate into the Family as kings, priests and teachers (Mt. 24:14; John 6:38-40, 44-45; Rev. 5:10). Herbert Armstrong got that and so does the Signet Church of God. We also believe that all those who hear this knock and respond as God requires will get it too! (Mt. 25:6-10; Rev. 3:20-21).

Game plan specifics:

  • Establish SCG headquarters

A lot of preliminary ground work has already been handled in this regard. We have our Church name and seal. We are registered in the State of Florida as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We have this web presence, a PO Box, a bank account, preliminary office gear, a CRM, an email correspondence “department” and a virtual phone system.

However, we know that there is a tough road ahead and a weighty load to carry. So we look forward to adding additional resources and capabilities as God allows and provides. Otherwise, you might be amazed to see how much can be accomplished these days by simply utilizing technology and the Internet. We hope that you will join us in praying for a rapid and orderly revival and expansion in God’s great Work!

  • Feeding the flock

We are going to have to utilize technology to accomplish this as well — especially in the early going. Yes, we intend to travel to meet with God’s people wherever and whenever we can. But as far as reaching the most members in a practical way each Sabbath, we can envision the use of live streaming technology to accomplish this very essential need at first. And don’t forget, Mr. Armstrong utilized satellite technology during his day to unite God’s people during the Feast of Tabernacles. We have fond memories of those combined services. But those past examples also demonstrate how technology can be used in the feeding and nurturing of God’s precious flock.

Also, as you can see in the navigational layout of this website, we have already added publishing and webcasting elements to our revival effort as well. This will provide the same type of gospel preaching and educational content that Mr. Armstrong provided through his World Tomorrow program and Plain Truth magazine during the 6th Church era.

Be sure to bookmark our WT2 and PT2 websites so you can stay fully informed and fully up to speed on how our house building and gospel preaching efforts are going (Zech. 4:9).

  • Preaching Christ’s "Kingdom message" once again

Mr. Armstrong called it our “first commission” responsibility. He also demonstrated that conviction throughout his 57-year ministry by doing just that — first on radio and then on television (Mt. 24:14; 28:19-20). And we have no doubt that if he had lived long enough, he would have also used the Internet to reach the largest audience possible online. Yes, Herbert Armstrong got it! And he also worked hard to instill that same conviction and determination in the ministry as well as throughout the WCG membership.

Surprisingly, however, after his death one of the saddest things that became clear very quickly was the fact the none of his first tier students were able to demonstrate that they got it. And now, after 40+ years of division and dysfunction throughout our ranks, it is now certain that they did not.

Again, this has to be fixed! And we know that restoring God’s Work “Signet-style,” will come as a result of reviving and relaunching “the good news of the coming Kingdom of God!” To that end we are now reviving a World Tomorrow-like program right alongside a Plain Truth-like e-magazine! (Rev. 10:11). And with God’s blessing, we know that good things will come as a result. Please join us in praying for the open doors needed and for our effectiveness in going through those doors as God opens them!
